Health and Safety by Practical Roofing

At Practical Roofing we really know the importance of health and safety in the work place. The images below detail some of the specialist equipment we use to provide safe means of access and adequate fall protection when working at height.

Working at Height

Falls from height are the most common cause of fatal injury and the second most common cause of injury to employees, accounting for 10% of all such injuries. As a result, in April 2005 the HSE produced the new Working at Height regulations.

Health and Safety at Practical Roofing

We carry out site-specific risk assessments prior to any works commencing and submit a detailed method statement and risk assessment pack for every project.

Our operatives are trained via the IPAF training programme and issued with a PAL card. The PAL Card (Powered Access License) is recognised worldwide across industries as proof of platform operator training to the highest standard.

The IPAF training programme was developed by leading industry professionals and is certified by TÜV as confirming to the international standard ISO 18878:2004 Mobile elevating work platforms Operator (driver) training.
